Disney's Give a Day, Get a Day

Volunteers ages 18 and up may do service in our crisis/respite nursery, interacting with at-risk children ages 0-11. A total of 5 hours is required. Volunteers must first schedule a time to come in during office hours and complete a criminal background check and paperwork. Background checks require a copy of a current state ID and Social Security card, and, if the applicant has lived outside of Utah in the past 5 years, may also require fingerprint cards which have a $34.25 fee to be processed.

After the background check is cleared, which generally takes 1-3 weeks, volunteers may schedule service hours in advance, in blocks of 1, 2, or 3 hours at a time. Hours are generally available weekdays between 9am-9pm and Saturdays between 9am-6pm, though availability is subject to change.

There may be additional opportunities off-site for all ages, such as making new quilts blankets to bring to the agency and donate. Volunteers would need to spend a minimum of 5 hours on a project. Any project must be pre-approved before it is started.
